If you are of a mischievous mind, then you can say that Angrezi Medium is a film for a campaign like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. But leave this mischief. The real thing is that this is a film of father-daughter relationship. The story of love and occasional squabbles in this relationship. But it has been shown in such a funny way that in many places there is flatulence. Yes, some places also shed tears. If the audience was passionate. The duo of Irrfan Khan and Deepak Dobriyal and director Homi Adzania have done a great job of watching this two-and-a-half-hour-long film, which in the end feels like, oh, how it ended so quickly!

Three years ago, in 2017, Irrfan's film was Hindi Medium. This film also made the audience laugh and touched the heart. After that, Irfan became cancerous. Out of films for some time as well. Therefore, the Angrezi Medium is full of many expectations for him. Will these expectations be met?

In the film, Irrfan plays the role of Champak Bansal, a resident of Udaipur, who owns a confectionery store named Ghasiteram. But there is a dispute over the dragged Ram's legacy and Champak's brother Gopi (Deepak Dobriyal) is also opening a sweet shop with the same name. Who is the real heir of Ghasiteram? The matter is in court. On the other hand, Champak's daughter Tariqa (Radhika Madan) wants to go to England for her studies. Champak wants the daughter to go to Jaipur to study more and more, but the daughter does not agree. There is an opportunity for Tarika to go to England with a recommendation from the school, but he gets hit by a Champak karstani. The daughter becomes an enemy.

Finally, he goes to London with his daughter, Gopi, who is always quarreling with her father. The daughter gets out of the air port but the two brothers are sent back to India by road. Then both of them change their names to London via Dubai and there are such incidents that don't ask, just laugh and keep laughing. Angrezi Medium is a family film. Not just one level but three levels. One at the level of relationship between Champak and Tarika. The father reprimands his daughter and sells property for the daughter's education.

In London, there is a brief stretch of relationship between the two as the daughter wants her free life and the father always wants to dominate her with his love. The daughter feels that the father is interfering in her life. The second family is of Aishita Champak and Gopi who quarrel and love each other. The third relationship is between Mrs. Kohli (Dimple Kapadia) and her daughter, police officer Naina (Kareena Kapoor), who live in England. But in the end, all three relationships end at the point of complete family union.

There is also a finer point in the film that it shows that there is a difference in family relations between India and England (West). In the West, the father-son or mother-daughter relationship moves in the other direction after the age of eighteen. The youth of eighteen become independent of their parents and go on their way. The film says in a subtle way that family relationships are more dense in the Indian family system than that of Western society. In this way, the film shows a difference between east and west. The difference is there. But is this why the West is less than us? This is what the Angrezi Medium says. But quietly.
