Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Forts List
***Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Ki Jay***
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj occupied many forts with his might. These forts include hill forts, Bhuikot, and sea forts, as well as forts in the present state of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Goa. About 111 of these forts are reported in a booklet by Shivaji Maharaj. They also repaired 49 forts and made necessary changes and made them invulnerable. There are a total of 8 forts in the name of Shivaji Maharaj.
The list of these forts includes the forts (owned by Shivaji Maharaj or built by Shivaji Maharaj) under the authority of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj (owned by Swarajya).
Shivaji Maharaj started Swarajya from Bara Maval. Although the area was small, it was surrounded by jungle trees, mountains, and rivers. There were eight forts. This area was invincible from a military point of view. The trend of Shivaji Maharaj was to build forts on Ajinkya terrain. He adopted the policy of the fort there. These forts were a kind of inspection site. No one was able to enter from there. No return entry was guaranteed if you entered.

In Ratnagiri district alone, they had 52 forts. There were 32 forts in Pune with 30 hills and 2 bhuikot More forts were built along the road that the enemy could reach.
He built forts of the fort to make the state invincible. The eight forts in the 12 Maval area are protected by outside forts like Asheri Fort, Vishalgad, Sinhagad, Purandar, Vajragad, Raigad, Toran, Tala, Ghosala and Sudhagad. To supplement it, they also created a range of areas like Salher, Mulher Rohida, Range. Along with this, they built a chain of marine forts. Sindhudurg, Vijayadurg, Padma Durg, Khanderi, Colaba and Suvarnadurga kept the state invulnerable.
He was once applied by the Pant Amatya "The forts has become a lot. They are spending money without cause."
Maharaj's answer was -
Forts are for the protection of the kingdom, just as the Kunbi keeps it in the field. The kingdom has strong forts, just as the ark is nailed to the wall. With the addition of forts, the age of Aurangzeh will pass, but if he invades us, he has three hundred and sixty forts. Even if one forts is fought for 1 year, it will take 360 years.
